2000 – 2009. That was one for the books. The more I reflect on this the more I am struck with a sense of awe. This past decade saw quite a bit of action. Here are a few “highlights” …
- responded to the grace of Jesus (late 99 / early 00)
- graduated high school (02)
- began college and dropped out… twice.
- took a job at a large church. then left 4 years later.
- met my wife. (12/05/06)
- asked her to marry me. (7/24/07)
- married her. (12/16/07)
- bought a house (Summer 09)
- found out there is a baby melden on the way. (9/16/09)
Now, while these years in someone’s life may commonly produce these types of changes… it’s nice to look back on. I doubt the next ten will hold as many life altering events. Then again, who knows?
It has been so sweet to reflect on these things and it has me feeling thrilled to begin this next decade. Afterall, its not just me anymore. There’s a family to journey through these things with. My life is now “our” life. I’m not sure what that will bring but I’m feeling so blessed to be a part of it.
Lindsey just mentioned to me earlier… “Asking us ‘What have you been up to?’ is a loaded question right now.” I love it.
I’m usually not this “reflective.” But, now that I’ve tried it, I’ll never go back. It really is amazing. I have such a good view of some really great memories.
